”Childish behavior”
Austin is in the sales manager’s office sitting next to Todrick, and he is three minutes away from a tantrum. He wanted to be doing anything other than looking at wedding venues on such a beautiful day. He knew better than to say that to Todrick, so he silently wriggled in his chair and had a slight pout on his face. The manager tried her best to ignore him and engage with Todrick. She figured Austin would swipe the card, but she knew she had to sell it to Todrick. Still, Austin’s childlike behavior was troublesome. At any moment, Todrick might blow his top, and they both leave. Finally, Todrick leaned over and firmly whispered to Austin, Stop squirming and sit up straight, right now.” He turns and smiles sweetly at the manager. Austin sits up in the chair and folds his arms, and looks irritated.
Not wanting to lose the sale, the manager suggests that Austin go check out the pool area. He smiled as she escorts him to the front and gives him a key card to access the pool area. She also gives him a voucher for 50% off to buy swim trunks at any of the stores in the hotel. Again, he smiles and walks away in his thoughts.
I can’t believe I got kicked out of the meeting. Still, it’s kind of what I wanted. I didn’t want to be there at all, so did I win or did I lose?
That was going to be an all-important question at OPW’s Monday Night SHowCa$e #33. He’d have to travel to Washington D.C. and show the world that he could beat Apathy and the champion Paul Montuori. Tommy Kain would not be a part of this match, but in OPW, anything could happen, and Austin had to be ready for anything. Losing was not an option, and he certainly had no plans of that happening. Sure his debut match was named match of the week, but he knew you are only as good as your current performance, so he had to turn the house out again. That was not that hard to do because he and Druscilla White knew one another, so it only made sense that they would perform at such a high-quality level. They had taken each other to the limit, and he was sore and bruised after that match. He was finally up and moving around without any pain after many massages and Epson salt baths. Dru was no slouch, and she reminded him and the entire world of that fact.
Austin buys his trunks and then heads towards the pool area. It was nice to see all the people milling about; they looked happy. No one was being forced to be inside against their free will. His phone buzzed, and he saw a reply to a tweet from Vhodka Marie, and he smiled until he opened it. He forgot he was pouting on Twitter earlier about not wanting to be looking at wedding venues. It seems like she was siding with Todrick on this one. He sighed and went back and forth with himself about who was right in this situation. He just wanted to swipe the card and give Toddy whatever he wanted, but he did not want to be there. She reminded him that what was special to Todrick should be special to him. He saw the logic in that and felt terrible. He kicked his feet in the pool and sulked. He had to fix this somehow, and he knew it would not be easy.
Damn, the universe has seen fit to stack up the challenges. I have to survive this wedding stuff, and if I can do that, then this championship match will be a walk in the park. This is really, really hard.
He hops in the water and swims several laps. Todrick walks in with the manager, and they are all smiles. Austin emerges from the water with the water running down his body, and he runs his hands through his hair. The two take in the sight, and she whispers to Todrick how lucky he is. Todrick smiles and gives her Bloop! Austin brushes the water out of his eyes and smiles at the two of them. He gets out of the pool and adjusts his trunks. He dries himself off and then walks over to Todrick and apologizes. He leans in and puts his forehead on Todrick’s, and apologizes again while holding his hands.
The sales manager's eyes flash with dollar signs as she watches them. This would be a done deal, and Austin the man, much like Austin the wrestler, had just sealed the deal and was about to walk away victorious. Austin gets dressed, and they head back to the office to sign the contracts.

”Relax Babe”
Austin pulls the bags out of the car he rented to take them to the airport. They had a few drinks before leaving home and in the car to settle their nerves. They were headed to Greece for the cast trip of The Life NY, and they were not in the mood for foolishness with the other cast. The car was a perfect idea because they were both in great spirits. Todrick was being surrounded by some people who recognized him and signed autographs, and took photos. Austin stood back and watched and gave Todrick this spotlight. He knew that some people would recognize him, but he would be a household name when he won the OPW Southern Heavyweight Championship.
He pulls the bags up to the airport curb, and Todrick blows them kisses, and they turn to Austin. Known for his wrestling and Twitter antics, they swarm him, and Todrick smiles at him and blows him a kiss. Austin is cool about it all, and once they are satisfied, they leave the two alone. Austin grabs a baggage cart and puts all the bags on it. He could be a jerk at times, but he was chivalrous and wouldn’t let Todrick carry any bags. They check in the flight and head through security.
Austin Ramsey: That was crazy babe, I still have to get used to that.
Todrick Tabor You never really get used to it, but when you are “the champ,” you better get ready for all of the wrestling fans, and you know they go hard when they see you in public.
Austin Ramsey: Am I your Champ?
Todrick Tabor Babe you are always my champ.
Austin Ramsey: So you and Paul Montuori are cool, and I know he is going to be filming scenes with us during this trip, but what’s his deal.
Todrick Tabor Well, he comes from a wrestling background, his dad was George “The Animal” Montuori, and he is Joe’s younger brother, and he is a big name in OPW. Paul is down to Earth, and he likes pranks, hijinks, and he’s a pretty funny guy. I think that is part of his charm, but it isn’t for everyone. He is open to the world about who he is and confident in himself.
Austin Ramsey: I’ve been studying his matches, and he has a strong style that is mixed with a Lucha background, and you can tell. Also, he likes to fly, and I like to fly, so this should be interesting.
Todrick Tabor He is good at what he does and he knows it. You can’t let the fact that he may not seem to be taking you too seriously get under your skin. You have to know that even though they aren’t acting like you are the next big thing, they know it.
Austin Ramsey: Apathy is definitely seasoned and decorated. She’s been in the game for a long time and apparently likes speaking her mind. Her matches make her seem well-rounded because she switches between brawling and technical skill without little to no effort. The biggest disadvantage I see is that she’s 44, 5’8, and 250 pounds. That can’t be good on her frame, so I wonder how her bones and joints will hold up in a grueling match with two hungry people.
Todrick Tabor You will have to be on your P’s and Q’s during this match. You don’t have to be the hero of the entire match, and you should pick your spots carefully. I know how you like to perform but use the rules of the match to your advantage.
Austin Ramsey: Facts, but you know that I can’t go out there and put on a boring match and be satisfied with that. I am my worst critic. I have to feel like I put on a championship match for the fans, or I won’t sleep at night. So, I plan on walking out with that belt, Toddy.
Todrick Tabor I have no doubt you will Baby. Ugh, I hope these heauxs don’t start no mess on this trip.
Austin Ramsey: Relax, babe, some of them act like their life depends on being horrible people on and off the camera. So fake and fraudulent, it’s sad, really.
Todrick Tabor Well you relax about this match. You are at the top of your game, healthy, have a sickening body, and your skills are on point. Plus, you are the luckiest man on the planet.
Todrick flashes his ring and smiles. He and Austin sit at the bar closest to their gate. They see some of their castmates in the bar, and they smile and wave and keep to themselves. Then, they board the plane and head off to Greece.

”That Bitch!”
Austin and Todrick are getting massages in the hotel's spa area, and the weather is beautiful outside. Ordinarily, this day would be peaceful and relaxing to Austin. Still, today his mind was on his upcoming match, filming with people he didn’t necessarily care for, his upcoming wedding, and a text that he received from his mother. Austin’s past was no secret to those that followed him in F2B. His parents were drunks and drug addicts that made growing up awful for him. Nevertheless, she always managed to find a way to contact him. However, today she was high out of her mind, and she was not hiding it well.
Text: ”Hey little f*g, I can’t believe that you are dodging your father and me again. What did we ever do to you? I mean, it wasn’t enough that you disgraced this family enough, but now I hear you are marrying that Mary Poppins ass n____r.
Austin had to stop reading, and he began shaking with extreme anger. She had a talent for getting under his skin. This time she was putting on an Oscar-worthy performance. Austin was getting ready to have a meltdown, and Todrick looked at him in time. Austin reared back and was about to smash the phone when Todrick came up behind him and took it from him. The hot tears stung as they began to drip down his face. Todrick recognized the handiwork of Mrs. Ramsey at play, and he held him and rocked him. She had a knack for showing up and asking for a handout, and it always sent Austin to a dark place.
Austin got up and kissed Todrick on the forehead, and began walking away. Todrick followed him from a distance because one sign of vulnerability from him was like blood in the water to the sharks they film with. The cameras caught the moment, and the producers were chasing Austin for a confessional, and he was not in the right state of mind for that. Todrick put a stop to it and told them all would be revealed but not right now. He sighs as they enter the elevator and head towards their room. They head toward the bedroom, and the usual horny Austin was nowhere to be found. Todrick held him and rocked him to sleep. ”That Bitch!”

”Showcase #33: SuPER SHoWCa$e”
Austin signed up for a sightseeing tour, and he and the camera crew took off. He had woken up before Todrick and took off without waking him. He was still a bundle of raw emotions as the bus rolled down the roads. His rage had subsided to anger, and he knew that he needed to capitalize on these emotions because he still needed to shoot a promo for OPW. He couldn’t half-ass it; that was not an option with a match of this caliber. The bus pulls up to an older building, and they enter. Austin pulls a jacket out of his backpack and pulls off his shirt. This was going to be raw, so there was no need for hair or makeup.
AUSTIN RAMSEY: There are times in life where you are supposed to be at your happiest point. I’m at that crossroads, and am I satisfied? Fuck no! I am getting married to the love of my life soon, but that’s not enough right now. That only satisfies Austin, the man. Austin, the wrestler, is hungry, so I went out and did exactly what I said I would do in that ring last week, and I gave you OPW’s match of the week. So, fucking good, in fact, that OPW saw fit to put me in another match of the week as I challenge for the OPW Southern Heavyweight Championship. It seems like everyone is content with the standard “who is he?” bullshit, and that’s fine because you will know exactly who I am when we square up in that ring. I’m the fucking future, and I’m the fucking boss, so keep acting like you don’t see those facts.
I got picked because my shit is bigger than yours at the bidding wars. I’d respect you more if you stood up and acknowledged that the writing is on the wall. Stop playing with me, lames. You are not my equal, so you have to pretend that you don’t see me. Oh, and when I win, that will hopefully shut the mouths of those in the back that somehow think they are better than a “reality tv star.” The reality is you can suck my fat dick as I keep evolving from the boy you once knew. I know you see me because you want to be me. You mad because I am about my hustle? I don’t have to feed, fuck, or finance any of you, so why you in my pockets? Sorry, not sorry that you are one-dimensional and can only focus on one thing at a time.
The ironic thing is you say, “who is he?” but all my business ventures keep my name in these streets. All my business ventures have taken me from nothing to something. I’m here for my money and not this tongue hustle. Austin “MF’in” Ramsey being in this match makes it equivalent to a Vegas fight. Seeing Paul vs. Apathy for the 50th time isn’t a headliner. Don’t worry; I’ll remake you both into celebrities overnight. I’m going to put the weight on my shoulders where you both think you have room to slack. Do your worst because I promise I’m going to throwback, so before you jump, it’s best you know exactly who you’re getting at. I don’t think y’all wanna see me really amped because there will be no stopping me. I’m going to do exactly what all these lessers say that I can’t. All I’m saying y’all suck, so come at me, smuts.
Long story short, I’m young and rich, and I’m so tired of this shit that everyone is better than me. I wake up in the morning eating eggs and steak. You don’t have to be impressed because I know what I’m worth. I’ve never been basic, nothing has ever come easy to me, but I’m blessed because I’m a self-made dude, and y’all ain’t fucking with me on your best day. I’m tired of footing these bills for all of you, and you can kiss my ass. That’s why I’m through carrying people and having nothing to show for it. So, I’m walking out of this match as the champion, and there is not a damn thing you can do about it. Austin, the wrestler, won’t be denied his crown. So, get ready because I’m gonna win, and when I do, keep talking that shit because we all know you don’t write your own hits. That’s why a little bastard like me will come in and accomplish what everyone says is impossible. I control my own destiny, and fate has decreed I am to be champion.
The camera stops recording, and Austin changes back into his shirt and gets on the bus. He seems to be in a foul mood even though he just got a lot off his chest. The outdoor scenery is not helping, and he blankly stares out of the window until the bus pulls back into the hotel parking lot. He walks to a nearby store and grabs a bottle of tequila. He knew that he absolutely had no business drinking tequila in the mood that he was in, but he also had a final cast dinner later that night, and he was one hundred percent not with the shits. He entered the hotel lobby and pretended not to see Amonte Jordan, and his mood quickly darkened even more.

”Spiral”
Austin enters the hotel room and heads straight to the bedroom. He has no idea where Todrick is, but he was happy that he wasn’t there. He opened the bottle of tequila and began to drink. He laid on the bed and reread the text message from his mother and begin to stew. He had truly given up on trying to love his parents, and every time they contacted him, he lost control. He took a long swig and began to reply to the text from his mother.
Text: You are a piece of work. Every time I think I’m bulletproof from the pain and misery you love to inflict on me, you find a way to show up like a nasty rash. I have too much to do to be sitting here trying to love you. So stop trying; I’ve given up on loving or supporting you. Why can’t you just walk away? I never should’ve given you my number when you were damn near on the brink of death from all that shit in your veins. I’m not running from you this time. You got something to say, then you say it face to face. Just tell that shit-for-brains husband of yours that I’m young and in my prime, and if he so much of thinks of raising his hand at me, I will fuck him up. I won’t kill him because I have too much to lose, but I’ll make him wish he were dead.
Austin tosses the phone on the bed and takes another long swig. Finally, he looks over at the clock and gets up to shower. His thoughts begin to consume him. If any of them had been hurt as I’ve been before, then they wouldn’t complain about my attitude or talk about the things I do. They are always quick to criticize, and I realize I have flaws, and sometimes I’m hard to deal with. My heart is just so tired, and I’d rather break them before they break me. They won’t let it get better, and I’m trying so hard. I know I take out my anger on everybody that comes around, but what am I supposed to do? Why won’t they leave me alone? This shouldn’t be me. Who the fuck is Raggedy Ann to say who I love is a sin? AGH, the thought of her sends me into a rage.
Get a grip Austin! Todrick will be back soon, and he isn’t going to put up with your shit tonight. I almost lost him, and I’m not going back to that place. Dude, did you take your medicine today? No, no, no, that makes me sick to my stomach. I hate that medicine. Fuck them all; only God can judge me, I’m only human and flawed. They hate me because only I say the things that they are all thinking. No matter what I do, they will all point their fingers at me. I just want to make it, but I can’t get it right even if I try. I’ll show them, I’ll show them all. Do something right and win that belt; it’s my time, dammit. It’s my time, fly high Phoenix.
Austin is jerked out of his thoughts as Todrick touches his back and gives him a loving glance. It takes him a few seconds to fully come back, and he flashes him a smile. Todrick saw the half-empty bottle of tequila and wanted to see which Austin was present. He seemed fine, but only time would tell. Austin looks at Todrick and attempts to give him a reassuring look.
AUSTIN RAMSEY: I’ve been thinking about you. I know I went crazy, and I was wrong. I apologize, and I’ll try to let it all go tonight. I know you said you have forgiven me for a lot, and all I know is that missing you is too hard to do. I’ve been in my feelings dealing with daily thoughts, but you are all that matters. I can’t do any of this without you. You make me better and are my light in the darkness. I’m trying my hardest, baby.
Todrick silently nods and puts his head against Austin’s. The two begin to get ready for dinner. The quick downing of all that tequila is starting to catch up with Austin, but he holds his own as they get dressed and get into the elevator. Austin reaches over and grabs Todrick’s hand. Todrick, who used to be uncomfortable with public displays of affection, had grown accustomed to this. As they get out of the elevator and walk through the lobby, two guys turn around and start to follow them. Austin notices this and tenses up, and he heads outside instead of towards the area for dinner. The two men get bold and begin to heckle them when they see no one is around. Austin starts to boil, and Todrick sees it. Before he can do anything, Austin lets go of his hand and turns around, swinging.
All that rage manifested itself with each swing. Todrick doesn’t want to yell and begs Austin to stop. The two are on the ground and barely moving, so Todrick jumps on Austin’s back, and he grabs Todrick’s shirt but realizes who it is before he does anything physical. His eyes are still dark but begin to lighten back to their normal green complexion. The two silently walk away towards the hotel. Austin knew what he was doing when he walked outside and towards a dark area. Todrick looks at Austin’s knuckles and frowns.
AUSTIN RAMSEY: Don’t worry babe, I was smart enough not to do that shit on camera. No one will bully me, and no one will ever bully you or put their hands on you when I’m around.
Todrick puts his head on Austin’s shoulder, and the two walk to the bathroom to clean up Austin’s hands. They walk onto the set for the dinner, and the drama for the evening did not disappoint. As usual, Todrick and Austin were the villains at the table when they had come in saying nothing. Words were exchanged, and drinks were thrown; Austin really knew how to get under their skin. Todrick was over it when Austin’s parents were brought up, and he knew he needed to get Austin out of there quickly.

”From Boy to Man”
Austin waits outside the homeless shelter that his parents now like to frequent. They stumble outside and begin walking towards him. He has a look of disgust on his face as he takes in their condition. They were extraordinarily skinny, and their clothes were battered. The closer they got to him, the more he swore that he could smell them. He didn’t need to judge them because clearly, life was doing a good job of that. His mom finally looked up and noticed him. An evil grin crept onto her face, and she began to move with a purpose. His dad seemed to be out of it and was aggressively scratching himself everywhere.
RAMONA RAMSEY: There’s my favorite little cocksucker.
Austin’s fists clenched, and he dug his nails into his hands.
AUSTIN RAMSEY: I’m here to have a one-sided conversation. You have always held all the cards, and I’ve allowed you to make me want to die some days. That all ends today; I’m no longer a little boy, I’m a man now. Gone are the days where you make me feel like I’m broken and that the sun would never shine again. This hurt is over, this pain, you were never there to fix me up. For years, I couldn’t act like you didn’t exist because everywhere I looked, I saw your face all over. You literally sold me for drugs and alcohol. I cried and begged but over and over, you led strangers into my room. You were supposed to protect me. I grew up not knowing what was wrong with me, and I lost my identity. Thanks to you, I have prescriptions on my bathroom sink. You can’t possibly understand the tears I cried.
The walls always feel like they are closing in on me. That’s why I feel the need to fly when I’m in the wrestling ring. You crossed the line, and now you act like you’re mad that I’m riding out. You gave me no choice, and I will never give you a chance to justify any of it. There is nothing about this that will ever work. You simply put me through more than I deserved. I’m numb to you now. Todrick helped me find my breath again, and he showed me a different reality. So yeah, I love him, yes he’s black, yes he’s gender-fluid, but all of that is better than anything you have ever been or ever will be. I love him, and I can’t wait to give him my last name. You squandered it, so you don’t get to say it’s an embarrassment to the family. One day, you will look back and see what you missed out on.
The boy that you were incapable of loving is a man now. My life has value and meaning to complete strangers. I am successful to the point where I am challenging for the OPW Southern Heavyweight Championship next Monday, and I will win. I hope you see me in the newspaper and it makes you sick. But, I am motivated by the thought of that, so I won’t be losing. I hope you see my 2-part wedding special when it airs on MIL Network, and it makes you choke. I hope you see pictures of my wedding in the newspaper and it makes you want to curl up and cry. I wish all of those things for you. Look at the tough guy over there, no hitting me today, huh? You are both pathetic, rot in hell. This is the last time we will ever speak to one another. The next time you hear of me, you will hear of Austin the champ.
Austin turns and walks away from them, and his mother is not smiling now. He meant every word that he said to her. Usually, it was just Austin, the wrestler that entered the ring, but this time, it would be both Austin the man and Austin the wrestler and they shared a common goal.
