I let everybody enter my field of view which is currently through the lenses of night vision. Torment use to be a seven foot monster who was the cousin of James "Morbid" Wolf. The problem with this was that he had absolutely no charisma, and no wrestling ability beyond looking intimidating. When push came to shove when he actually entered the ring, the only thing he was capable of was jobbing. After a try out, it became clear to everybody a hall of shame should have been invented, and he should have been the first member inducted. Now, I know you may be asking yourselves how I know this information. Did I break into the man's house, and are we going to learn his real name? No. What the hell kind of fool do you take me to be? People here are so fickle that they'd be willing to bring charges against you just to make a name for themselves. No, the truth is a lot more simple, and not at all complicated. I was given exclusive access to the RWA offices, and files, however, the storage area doesn't have power, and night vision goggles were the only thing I had in my possession. These bad boys are the only thing keeping me from stumbling around like a drunk. I load up the files in a special metal suitcase, and then turn away looking for the nearest exit.
As I arrive back to my new Tennessee home I sit down in my kitchen with the files all spread out in chronological order. Two years worth of files to sort through, and I almost want to through my hands up like what is the point, but I cannot. I have a running theory, and that might reveal itself to be correct, or it might not reveal anything at all.
"A lot of people may be asking me exactly what I'm doing here. Considering, that I am not the most social person in this universe. Well, I'm mainly here to tell somebody how the universe really works. During the official build up to Showcase I'm barred from mentioning anything that is not directly related to the event itself. I like those bonus checks, and if I want them to keep coming then I do what I have to do. However, we have a brief moment where I can gloat. I would be an idiot if I didn't take it either. Keeping to my theme to be professional at least for a little while, I would like to officially congratulate Chris Gibson on his win to become the new OPW Prestige Champion. It appears that he'll be a very stingy champion going forward which is both a good, and a bad thing. I would remind Mr. Gibson to enjoy it while it lasts, because it doesn't last forever." "But, when you look at who his competition was it really was no surprise he won. It came as no surprise, and there was no actually shock value to the match. Unless it was to the previous champion which as of right now I've got no personal issue with Chris Gibson. With that I'm going to move on to the former champion."
Filing should have been easy, and I understand computers weren't what they were before. But these files are just one big mess, and it would probably take me six months worth of personal time to get through the first month alone. It's a very good thing I'm starting now. Rather than dredge up the past I'm going to address the former Prestige champion Jason Ryan. Because unlike Jason Ryan I'm not one to just shoot my mouth off and expect everybody just accept it as the truth. I'm sure I haven't heard the last of Jason Ryan either. As it stands let's just get through this while I have the down time.
"Irony is a very funny thing when you stop to think about it. Jason wins a ladder match, and then he immediately speaks about how he conquered me. What? Conquering means you've had a series of matches, and the winner moves on, and the loser also moves on except in a different direction. Mr. Ryan also believes I'd bow to him like I'm some type of servant. Haven't done that yet, and I never will. What's more is that Mr. Ryan has an advocate which is dumber than he is. This is a person who is suppose to take care of Jason instead of pandering to his ego. This advocate is so unimportant that I don't even know his name. Let's get back to the subject of Irony for a moment. Considering I'm sure that Jason doesn't know the definition of it. In his first title defense Jason lost. Because he does what he always does. He runs his mouth without considering somebody out there is better than him. Making himself out to be the dumbest son of a bitch that has ever lived. That's the nice version, and trust me if I told you the mean version of it then Jason Ryan would be interfering in all of my future matches. Hell, he still might because I've got the balls to say what he doesn't want to hear. There is no ruling this division with an iron fist, and if there was a way to do it lets be honest Jason, you wouldn't be the one to do it. You're a broken record, and to be quite honest you're a non talented hack! In case you need that explained Jason I'll break it down in a way you can understand it. You're not the mighty champion you made yourself out to be. In fact you're nothing. Everybody all ready knows how to prepare for you because you refuse to change anything. If you can't evolve in this industry, then you're going to hit a dead end, and trust me when I say this Jason. You've all ready hit that dead end Jason. Do I see you going any where? No, you'll always be one step behind everybody else because you refuse to evolve. Your mind I'm sure can't comprehend such a thing. That's the other reason why you'll never make a name for yourself in this industry. You'll always settle, and I've got no plans to settle for anything. You'll always be a stepping stone while the rest of the OPW tramples over you moving on to a higher form of success. It's the irony you'll never accept. That's the reality Jason. Like it or not, the truth fucking hurts!"
I reach the record portion of the first file, and all I've seen is that James "Morbid" Wolf was the RWA Hardcore Champion, and there is no mention of Torment. Not yet. I close the first book of files, and pass on the second and third months, and set them aside. Next is the four month to a year book of files. Sighing, I throw my hands up, and place my reading glasses upon my face. I stand beside everything I mentioned about Jason Ryan, and after I'm finished with my research tonight we'll see what roads the OPW will lead me down.
