Hello Again Outlawz, Johnny Stylez here once again to give you all a little perspective on how we run things around here. Those of you that know me know I am not someone that is particularly fond of rules, which is why you don't see us just starting off with a list of do's and don'ts. At this point most people know the general rules that govern this game and while we will get to that in just a brief moment allow me to explain for the most part this is more of a social contract agreed upon by any an everyone as a Code of CoNDUCT that we all agree to bear in mind during our tenure here. There are a few policies I will explain in just a moment that set us aside from any and all other efeds out there. As it clearly states in the mission statement the major concern for us as staff is to provide each of our rpers with one of if not the best experiences you have had playing this game. But getting back to me and my general distaaste for authority and rules. While I don't particularly care for them myself it is neglegent for me to believe that we can exist without them. Some of the rules that I am going to list are common sense at this point but are going to be listed any way just for the sake of saying it out loud. But I promise you we don't have very many rules as Roger and Myself place a very heavy importance on accountability. If you phuck up there are going to be consequences, how server really depends on the situation, but as long as you own up to your mistake then I can promise you a swift and easy conclusion that will be fair. Because that is another important thing here in OPW is that we take extra measures to ensure we are being fair. And it wouldn't be fair for us to practically demand accountability if we don't hold ourselves to the same regard. So again before we go any further I will right here and right now give every last one of you my word that we (staff) shall too be held accountable for our actions. THe only thing we ask that you all keep in mind is the one thing we also keep in mind when dealing with unfortunate situations..And that is one thing we all have in common is that we are human. We are capable of making mistakes just as you or anyone else is. And if it is brought to our attention that a mistake was made on our part then know we will do any and everything we can to make it right. The staff here is allowed to RP so we are subject to the same rules and consequences that everyone else is. SO having said that there are a few policies, thoughts, mottos, and even rules that one must adhere to if they are going to RP here. So before we get into all of that, the one thing we would like you to all know is that the only thing we as staff truly want to see is all of you succede and enjoy yourself here. So if there is anything you need from us plesae do not hesitate that is one of the things we are here for. Also please understand Roger and I will do our best to make the decision that benefits the fed. OPW and it's integrity comes before any and everything else. Thank you so much for lending us your time and your talent. Adhere to the things on this page and you should enjoy what will hopefully be the most successful and enjoyable run of your entire rp career. So having said alllllllllllllllllll of that let's get to it shall we?
I. Principles
Before we go any further there is one thing everyone who passes through here must keep in mind at all times. Without this any fed that ignores this particular principle is doomed to fail, and there aint nothin that sucks more than watching a damn fed close because of butt hurt bruised egos. But as long as we bear in mind this one thing then everything else seemingly falls into place. What is this one thing you may ask? To be blunt if you are going to RP here then one thing you all need to keep in mind is the fundamental concept of this game we play...Which is of course
There Must Always Be A WINNER...Which Means There Must Also Always Be A Loser...
We get it...Believe me especially ME PERSONALLY. There are very few things I hate in this world more than losing fake wrestling matches that I spent my spare time rping and busting my ass doing it for. When you have a roster that is stocked with talent like OPW's is then Goldbering this place is just irrational. Please understand how difficult of a job we have judging these matches. Those of you that have run or currently run feds know exactly what I'm talking about. But judging people's work versus the other is a difficult thing to do at times. But is a necessary element of this game because we are pretending to fight each other so someone has to go down otherwise what are we doing here? One thing I think most people over look is the simple fact that our game is one of EGOS more than anything else. I know some people who never ever think they loose...I used to be one of them myself. I get it most of us think we are the best rper of all time. Otherwise what are you doing here? But one thing that makes this so difficult and one thing that makes this issue such a glaring one is the fact that at the end of the day there is no way to set rules that can govern all feds and be looked to to solve any and all disputes on the matter, because at the end of the day when you sign up to any efed you are agreeing to subject your work to be judged by the person or people that run that particular fed SO it is a game of EGOS and OPINIONS.
What you see in your work is not always what someone else will see. But as I stated above even if you loose here your hardwork does not go ignored, overlooked, or unappreciated. It is quite the opposite actually. Because as I clearly stated above anyonbe who puts in work here will be compensated in some capacity. Loosing big matches, losing any matches BLOWS...But know that we as a staff in OPW go to great lengths to ensure that we make the right call every week for every match. Because just because we can never ever achieve absolute fairness because of this game being based on the opinions and whims of the management that doesn't mean that we shouldn't strive for it. There are a few things we do to ensure we are making the right call. Roger judge and views rps differently than I do and vice versa its one of the reasons I asked him to join me on this little venture. ANd that's not even the extent of it because there are times where we look for and listen to others in the fed to see what they think if he and I are unable to agree or reach a conclusions. But as long as everyone has a firm understanding of the principle of there needing to be a winner and a loser helps the flow of things, because here you are going to loose some and you are goig to win some.
That's realistic it's how the game goes and a fed that has a group that understands this survives. Because I have seen way too many good if not great feds be utterly destroyed because of people who couldn't take losing a big match. So all that we ask is that if a week comes and the result of your match was a loss, know that Roger, Myself, and anyone else who may have been involved in the judging proccess went to great lengths to ensure we made the right decision and a lot went into selecting a winner or a loser. You are more than welcome to contact either Roger or Myself and inquire as to why you were not successful, and we will gladly answer your question honestly...So if you ask make sure you are willing to accept the answer we give you, because one other thing you may call a rule here in OPW is this...
1. Once results go up...It's cannon
Which means that once resuls go up, no decisions will be reversed...Even if you come to us and get us to see and admit that we made a mistake. We wll make it up to you in anyway we can as well as offer our sincerest of apologies, but other than that its all we can do. Once results go up what happens happened for better or for worse. But once again we went to great legths to make sure we arrived at the right conclusion. So suffice to say if you are one of those people that struggles accepting the fact that you lost when it happens then perhaps this isn't the place for you. Because as I have said and as you can see for yourselves OPW's talent roster is very deep. So winning ALL THE TIME is next to impossible. I am not saying that it isn't possible but it isn't likely given how much talent comes through here. Losing in this game just like in life believe it or not can make your character stronger, and more realistic.
I have seen rpers come into feds and get their asses kicked for the fist year or two but wound up coming out a better rper than most of the people they lost to along the way because they learned from them and it made winning much more sweet when they began to earn their wins. If you even go on a bit of a losing streak you can always come to Myself or anyone else in the fed and learn what is going wrong or what you can do to improve and we will all be more than happy to oblige. But it is unrealistic to change a match once it happened it doesn't happen on RAW so it won't happen here. Once the results go up it's final and it happened..The best thing you can do as a rper is spin it. If a mistake was made on our part as I previously stated you will be properly compensated and we will do everything we can to ensure that it doesn't happen again.
Now some of you may be wondering about what I mean exactly when I say we go to great lengths to arrive to the correct concllusion about the way we judge matches here. Well one of the policies I mentioned previously that seperates us from all other feds is this one.
Would you like to have your voice heard? Would you like to chip your two cents in and help judge matches here in OPW every week? Well here if you would like to then we allow you to do just that...Here is how it's done
...In order to have your opinion about the outcome of the matches every week heard then after deadline you have 5 hours to submit your opinions to MY (Johnny Stylez) pm box. THe only catch is you cannot do just one or a few matches. If you choose to do this you must do the entire card and you must make it abdundalty clear that all rps for the match were read. If not it will be immediately disgarded and DQ'd. So as long as you follow those guidelines then I will take the information supplied by you and whoever else chose to submit their opinions and I will go over them with Roger while we make out decisions regarding the outcome of the match. I am not saying you guys as a fed pick the winners...I am saying submit your opinion and it wll be heavily considered when it is decision making time. I have felt one way about judging a match and then a few people gave me different opinions from my own..ANd I changed my mind based off of that. They presented good points that I mistakenly overlooked and was able to correct a mistake that I was happy to avoid. Like I said we are human we too can over look or not see things from time to time. But I assure you before we make any kind of a decision the RPS for the match are carefully read by Roger and Myself.
And your opinions are welcome as well because this is your fed to and if you want to have a say we here at OPW grant you that privleage. If you do not choose to take advantage of this then so be it...Most people havent so far...But know it is always there and know that it could wind up making the difference in the end. BEcause there is a definite difference in making a good point and lobbying for wins. Because at the end of the day we will always make the decision that is best for OPW...But we want our rpers to know we value your opinions as much as we do our own...And this is something I have always believed lets you all know we are striving to do this as fairly as we possibly can, by accepting the fact that we are human...And not power drunk fedheads who think their word is the only thing that matters, because we know better. We may run the fed but we ar eno better or worse than any one of you! So use it don't use it in Outlaw Pro Wrestling the rpers have at least the option to have their voices and opinions heard and can ultimately contribute to us making sure we make the right call in the end.
(to be continued....Sorry guys had some family shit come up i had to step out for a bit Ill come back and finish posting these before the end of the day)
II. Rules I Have To Say Aloud For The Sake oF SAYING SO
Before I get into this list let me explain first. We have or most of us have been playing this game long enough to know there are certain rules that exist in practically ever fed. I know that most of you know them but if it isn't physically stated somewhere at some point someone is going to point and say "WeLL ITS NoT IN THE RULES. But after I finish this sentence I will have robbed them of that...So to them in the future I say, HA GOTCHA BITCH!!!
1. No using other chars in your rps without permission.
2. No sexually harassing people OOC.
3. NO FLAME WARS IN THE CHAT...I won't tolerate it that shit kills fed I seen it done a million times. If caught doing this it will be handled by a case by case basis but I can tell you that whomever started sed flame war will be instantly removed from the chat and suspened for at least a week.
4. No blatant racism
5. NO GOT DAMN RP STEALING...If you are caught stealing rps from someone in this fed or another to use in ur matches here you will be instantly fired banned and never brought back we will never tolerate that kind of shit here (SORRY GRAVEDIGGER YOU CAN CONSIDER YOUR APPLICATION PERMANTELY DECLINED)
6. Air your F'n greviances in F'n private. If any of you have a problem with me my staff or the way we do things that is fine. Ill be more than happy to speak to you like an adult and have an adult convesation as long as you treat me with the same respect. Dont start the shit in the chat and drag others into it. If a number of you have a problem wth something that's fine you can all come to me or the staff together or select one and send em to us. But do not start that bullshit in the chat and cause a huge disruption because shit can get out of hand on both sides
7. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
8. All rps must be in by deadline.
9. If you are new here you are free to kick Carlos in the nuts at least twice...(IT's ok he likes it)
III. OPW Exclusive Policies.
There are a few things we do here in OPW that other feds don't do or offer in terms of rules and how we run our fed. Read the following and know that at all times you may choose to participate in these or not. But the fact that they are here should speak volumes to how we view things like match judging, our rpers spare time spent rping, and the general overall health of our roster. Because I implimented and came up with these to protect and ensure my roster that I am here for them. This is yalls fed as much as it is Mine or Rogers. Your opinions matter to us as much as your work does and here you will find the opportunity to express them. Also it can serve the opposite function because if you want your voice to be heard and you don't take advantage of these then what ground do you really have to argue after that? Most of the rules in this game are designed to keep uproars to a minimum. SO take it or leave it but I challenge any one of you to find a fed that offers these policies to ensure and create a bond of trust between us and the roster. SO these are always going to be here incase you forget...Enjoy and you are welcome
1. If you would like to share your opinion and help judge matches Outaw Pro Wrestling offers you the ability to do so. However the catch is (and there is always a catch) is that you cannot select the matches your choose and you cant just do one or anything less than the entire card. If you choose to participate in this you must adhere to two major ground rules. If you do not then your submission will be immediatley disgarded and it will be as if you never participated at all.
A. You have five hours until after deadline to submit your opinion card to Myself (JasonJohnnyStylez) And it must be the entire card.
B. You have to make it abundantly clear that all required rps were read. If you don't make it clear that you read all the rps in some way then you will leave us no choice but to discard your submission because if you didn't read all rps then you can't even possiblybegin to pretend you can offer a fair opinion.
If you adhere to these two principles then your submission will be read in its entirety at decision making time and will be heavily considered during our decision making process. Now obviously if enough of you do it it is going to be way more effective. We are open to others opinions sometimes we go looking for them ourselves. Now I am not stating that you submit your opinion and you will get to call the matches. We are saying we will keep your opinions in mind and they will have n affect on how we choose. They may serve as the tiebreaker. Or bring up a valid point that myself and the other staff may have missed when we read the rps, because I'll tell you right now it is going to happen. I know this because I am human and am bound to make mistakes. I have made the wrong calls before while in charge of OPW. I have had others change my mind by bringing stuff that I missed up. It isn't politicking for wins as some people view it it's just the facts of human nature. But know that we do go out of our way every single time to make sure we are as close to the right answer as we can possibly be.
2. Staff are allowed to actively compete and rp here. Which means they can go for and hold titles they can do anything and everything any regular rper in OPW can do. However since this tends to make peolpe uncomfortable in Outlaw Pro Wrestling we allow you to appoint your own RP judge any and every time you face a member of staff.
Now this doesn't mean you get to pick the person that judges the match. It is up to your appointed person to read all necessary rps and then speak with our already in place judges and reach a solution and decision that is agreable to all parties involved. They do not have to be on the OPW roster or affiliated with us in any shape form or fashion. They can come here and stand in and speak for you during the decision making process but they must be made to understand that they are working with our rp judges and the staff memebr that you are facing of course is not allowed in any capacity to weigh in on the match or even be there while their match is being judged and discussed. If both parties are unable to reach an agreement then the decision falls to a previously agreed upon third party to act as the tiebreaker! And also for the sake of saying if you bring someone in from outside of our fed then they are to act with respet, dignity, and honor and if they wish to be treated the same. We will respect them and their opinions as long as they dont come in here acting an ass...That won't be tolerated at all. They will be dismissed and you will be expected to produce a replacement within the hour.
3. As a member of the Outlaw Pro Wrestling Roster you are allowed to register up to 4 NPCs that are to be treated with the same respect as your character is.
Myself included once upon a time used the tactic of going after NPCs because in every rule book in every fed it was clearly stated you couldn't do anything to the chars themselves but there weren't any rules that protected NPCS.....Until now. SO I allow you to reigster 4 NPCS that must be treated with the same respect as your char...Which means they are not to be used in any capacity without expressed permission from your opponent. Without that if you break these rules it will result in a DQ of your rp and an automatic loss. BUt again you have to register them...if you do not then its open season and there won't be anything I can do to help you. Because part of this game is having to adapt when your opponent throws you a curve ball. Its one of the things that makes this game fun to play. Is just like in life or any real fight you have to take what you are given and then bob and weave hoping you can find a way to deliever a knockout blow before they do that shit to you!
I. Principles
Before we go any further there is one thing everyone who passes through here must keep in mind at all times. Without this any fed that ignores this particular principle is doomed to fail, and there aint nothin that sucks more than watching a damn fed close because of butt hurt bruised egos.
