Act 1: Legends
"There are monsters where you tread. We hide in the darkness, we walk among you and yet you never notice. Humans are clueless to what we really are. We walk among them, wine and dine with them and yet they are still do not see the true danger they are in...I was born in darkness and I dwell within it."
The scene opens on the beautiful Irish countryside. A heavy mist drifts across the moors of the Ireland. The night had come on fast with the moon high over head, and the stars shinning brightly over head. The sound of crickets and frogs echo through the night, as a gentle breeze moves over the tall grass, and moors that littered the countryside. The smell from the chimney's from the small homes that could be found along the long stretch of road that wound itself over the rolling hills. A spot of light is soon seen coming from the darkness, along with the sound of footsteps. The light soon gets brighter and we see a slender form hiding underneath a long hooded cloak. The smell of a soft scent of vanilla seems to drift on the air, as we see a lantern being held by a slender hand. The cloaked figure moves with grace as they walk along the road. The figure sets the old wrought iron lantern down, and pulls back the hood revealing Necra underneath. Her golden eyes shimmered in the light of the lantern as she picks it up once again.
Necra: Jason, I have to admit I do love the song that you sung... Funny that it came from a movie. I know it's based on a legend, or even truth when you really think about. Most legends are based on something in the world that someone has seen. Death has so many forms, legends, and stories behind it that no one knows what to truly believe about us. We are in all walks of life we come from every corner of the world, and yet no one sees us coming until it's to late. You see Jason there isn't really a good chance that you will be walking out of this match in one piece or the coffin that you will be placed in before I bury you alive.
Necra continues down the long stretch of road, as the sound of hoof beats is heard coming from somewhere behind her. She turns and sees a black carriage being pulled by a massive black horse. In the driver's seat was a strange sight. A figure clad in a black outfit sat in the seat but where the head should be was nothing. But the head sat beside the figure with glowing eyes that seemed to be a bright light in the darkness around it. The carriage soon stops and Necra smiles softly as she looks up at the strange figure above her.
Dullahan: The Goddess of the Dead, what do I owe the pleasure of your presence here in my moors?
Necra: I came to...
Dullahan: Ah, enough said. Where are you headed?
Necra: Up the road a bit.
Dullahan: Do you want a ride?
Necra: That would be nice.
The sound of the frogs seemed to have stopped, long with the crickets that were in the grass. The light from the lantern cast its light on the ground in front of them. The figure hops down, and opens the door of the carriage. The figure extends a hand, and Necra takes it, and steps into the back of the carriage and settles into the black velour seats. A small light comes on as the carriage starts to move along the old winding road.
Necra: Jason do you see what I mean? Legends are always based on truth. And I am no different. This match has been made but there is only one way that it can end! It will end the only way that it can end. The way that it is meant to end! With me as the victor! This is my match after all.
Necra leans back in the soft velour and stares out the window as the countryside passes by. The sound of the crickets and frogs soon echo through the night as an owl hooted somewhere in the distance. The sound of the carriage wheels moving along made a soothing sound as the carriage rocked along the road.
Necra: Jason what I have planned for you is going to be glorious in the end. There is nothing that you can to do to stop me from winning this one. My time has come and yours is at an end. Just know when all is said and done, I will be the one left standing in the end, while you are buried 6 feet under. I'm not afraid of anything that you can throw at me, let alone what you can do. But you should be afraid of me and what is to come. This little game of cat and mouse has gone on long enough and only one of us can win... But it won't be you in the end of all this.
Necra smiles as the lights of a small village are seen on the horizon. The gentle glow from the village seems welcoming, and warm even in the middle of the night. The carriage moves away from the light, and back into the darkness.
Necra: The light is never a welcome sight for creatures of the night. Even death shy's away from it. We hide away from the light, draw away from it, for we all dwell in the darkness of the world. I am the Goddess of Death, The Queen of the Dead, The Angel of Death, The Reaper of Souls, The Lady in Black, The Crawling Chaos The Creeping Death, the Child of Heaven and Hell! Fear me; for when you look upon me you will see your end. See you soon and good luck, you're going to need it.
Necra grabs the little leather strap over head, and holds on as the carriage passes by another long moor. Necra stares out the window as the scene soon fades to black.
