“Love and Support”
The Ramsey’s were having a cookout and had invited several friends. Austin had, of course, invited everyone on The Velvet Rabbit staff as they were a part of his family now. He knew that not everyone could make it, but he wasn’t sad about it. He missed his friend and brother, Jason Cashe, whom he was separated from at birth but was out of town. It was probably for the best because Toddy would undoubtedly not appreciate their shenanigans while she was entertaining. He was in his element, the man of the house on the BBQ grill. Everyone seemed happy and that made his wife happy.
He heard her recording her promo for their upcoming match, and he couldn’t help but smile. She sounded confident and in control. That was so sexy to him. When she got to the part about love and support, it made him stop and think.
“She always talks about the love and support from her Rockstars propelling her to new heights. I wonder if that is true. I never really give a fuck what the fans think of me but is there value in her words? Could that be what I’ve been missing? Is that the final ingredient that we need to dethrone the Caffeine Mafia as the Immortal Tag Team Champions? I need to think about this more. Perhaps discuss with The Council Of Austins later. Not now, though; we have guests.”
Todrick brings him his vape pen and a drink. It’s strange how the weed was what helped him keep his personalities at bay. But it worked, and he had a prescription; this was the Austin that everyone wanted anyway. He was at peace and calm; even Samuel Chatman wasn’t getting on his nerves. Probably because Akasha had brought their daughter Whitney, Austin adored children and could not wait for his twins to arrive. There were few things his fragmented mind always held steadfastly; no harm would ever come to Toddy, any child, or the things he held dear.
This was one of the reasons why he was fiercely loyal to anyone who was loyal to him. There is nothing that he wouldn’t do for them. Candice Wolf was a perfect example of this with The Velvet Rabbit. They indeed were a second family to him and Toddy. She was like a mother to him and had changed him in many ways. She was one of the few who believed in him, and he respected her for that. He would grind hard for The Rabbit until he couldn’t anymore. In truth, this is why Toddy’s words stuck out to him about love and support. He went from a ball of rage to a strict code of behavior when he was at The Rabbit. He wouldn’t fight there no matter how much he was provoked and had no outbursts inside the club.
Sure he had a few memorable fights where his opponents had been knocked out and tossed in one of the dumpsters outside, but that was outside. Combine her love and support with that of his wife and the doctors, and Austin was beginning to see what that actually felt like. The way he grew up, kid’s like him didn’t get that, especially from his egg and sperm donor.
“Love and Support, huh? All right, I’ll ask for that from the fans at Showcase 36 and the Cannabis Cup, and we will see if that is what I’ve been missing. I owe that to myself. I owe it to her, she gave up all her momentum, leaving FIGHT for me, and I need to show her it was worth it. Caffeine Mafia better buck the fuck up during this match; I won’t settle for anything less than us taking those belts from them.”

“I Asked, Let’s See If They Give”
Toddy had dropped Austin off at the Archer Hotel so he could head up to the Spyglass Rooftop Bar while she went for drinks with Akasha Monroe, Alexis Hunter, and Diamond Dior. Austin liked this place, and his wife was right; he did not want to be at “Girl Time” with them. The waitress that approached him was cute; she definitely liked what she saw and did not hide it. The trust factor was back in the Ramsey marriage, and even though Toddy knew that Austin was bisexual, she trusted him. They had developed a strict set of rules that both adhered to, so he was tempted but not that tempted. She flirted, he flirted, but that’s where it was going to end. He wouldn’t dare ask her to consider this when she had a whole support squad of girls with her. He wasn’t an idiot. He ordered a District Fashion that was comprised of longbranch bourbon, cinzano rosso, cherry bitters, and luxardo cherry. She brought him his drink and made small talk before being summoned away by her manager.
Austin smirked to himself; he had that effect on people of both genders. He had his one true love, though, and that was enough. He sipped his drink and fell into his thoughts.
“All right, so I asked for love and support yesterday when I talked to the people about what the Cannabis Cup meant to me. Let’s see if they give it to me. Do I even deserve it? I’m sure if you asked our opponents, they would say no, but who gives a shit what they think. The only thoughts they need to be having is how to conduct themselves after the referee counts that 1..2..3, with one of them flat on their back staring up into the lights in the ceiling. This is our fucking time, and no one is going to take that away from us. That’s good; I need to work that into my promo. Fuck I need to get on that soon. Toddy would be hella pissed if we lost cause I didn’t do one. Can’t sell that as a prank. Hehehe.”
Austin orders a few more, and he is feeling tipsy. The waitress slips him her phone number, and he smiles and nods. He pays his bill and heads downstairs. He begins walking around the area. He decides to record his thoughts, he’d edit it into a proper promo tomorrow, but for tonight, He enjoyed speaking his raw emotions and thoughts when he was like this. If he wanted their love, this is what they had asked for, so he decided to uphold his end of the bargain.
Austin Ramsey: “Sup. I’m still doing this thing where I give you raw and unfiltered me. I hope y’all like it. To my “haters” err..”fans” that don’t make me a weak bitch. Come at me with that energy, and I’ll split your wig. I’ve never been one to allow a certain few people into my head. It’s rather crowded up there, in case you forgot. Are y’all really gonna show me the love I asked for? The first chance you get is tomorrow night at Showcase 36. I want you to blow the roof off of Madison Square Garden. Hell, I won’t know if it’s for Toddy or me, but a guy can hope, right? I want your cheers to put fear in LMA and AdrennaLynn’s hearts. Put fear and doubt there, and Toddy and I will do the rest.
I’ve been broken before, but I am the closest I’ve been to being whole. You know why I’m so confident about what’s gonna happen during our match tomorrow night? I finally got somebody who doesn’t stress me or peak my anxiety. Somebody who fucking respects me and doesn’t keep trying me. I’d do anything for her; can you blame me? Toddy thinks that it’s me by her side that propels her to new heights, but I think she got that backward. It is for that reason that Caffeine Mafia, you never stood a chance against us. Honestly, you should see this shit coming from miles and miles away. I’m going to show her that she didn’t walk away from all that was rightfully coming her way after FIGHT closed to choose me and my dreams was not in vain.
The fucked-up thing is that some of the Austins didn’t believe in this dream of mine. They said I should let it be and give her the moment she had coming to her. But when you piece the timeline back together, she agreed to be my tag team partner before that final PPV. She had already made her choice. I didn’t take shit away from her. She chose me, so I chose myself. I saw the message boards and comments about how selfish I was. She has always picked me, so stop talking cause I ain’t trying to hear that noise. She has patience, and we communicate well together, isn’t that what a good tag team is made of?
Sorry, I know that sounded like the old Austin that was trying to slip out. Yeah, I’m still working on my anger, but I can’t be angry with you if I’m asking for love and support. That’s why I need you to show me that you fucks with ya, boy. I’m loyal to those that are loyal to me. I told you I was gonna change and shit, and I want y’all to believe that these are honest conversations. The toxic relationship between me and all of you is done. Toddy has shown me the way. If I slip, pick me up, and let’s keep moving forward. That’s the give and take we need on this new journey. You adjust my crown, and I’ll adjust yours.
Let’s send a ripple effect throughout Madison Square Garden tomorrow. Propel Toddy and me to new heights. Hold PMont accountable if he doesn’t call the match right down the middle. Let him know that you stand firm with The Ramseys. If Michelle sneaks out, let your voices be heard so we can contend with that as well. Besides, it proves their fear if they don’t want to face us, a real challenge, for those titles. Everyone knows we are the team to beat. Don’t take the puss ass way out, Paul. Let the chips fall where they may, and you will face the better team.
So here I go again, show me that love and support that Toddy is always talking about when it comes to her “Rockstars.” We are a package deal, and don’t you want to see your favorite couple with gold around our waists? I do, but I would be grateful if you could show me you do tomorrow night.”
Austin stops recording and heads back toward the hotel. The ladies are all standing outside with Toddy when he walks up. They smile as he walk up to them. He speaks to them and then grabs his wife and kisses her. They all giggle, and Alexis suggests they just get a large suite, stay here, and drink and hang out. Austin sees Toddy would really like that and agrees. They stop at one of the shops, and Austin pays for their bottles, and they head upstairs. He says good night and goes to bed.

“I Love You So”
Austin wakes up to his wife beside him. He didn’t even hear her come into the room. He was in a good mood, and he kissed her on her head as he continued to lay there. He picked up his cell phone and rewatched his recording from the previous night, and was satisfied with it. No edits would be required. He posted it on his social media. No doubt the Caffeine Mafia had been stalking his and Todrick’s pages to see what they had to say. Their vanity would not have allowed them not to. They undoubtedly felt their grasp on those titles slipping, and after what The Ramseys had noted in their promos, they were in their heads.
Toddy stirred and looked at her husband. He smiled at her and laughed as he could see she was going to sleep all day. He pulled her head onto his chest. She listened to the sound of his heartbeat and slowly drifted back to sleep as he sung I Love You So by B. Smith to her.
Austin Ramsey:
“I love you so
Never gonna let you go
Baby just back me up
Do what I do this for
I love you so
Never gonna let you go
Baby just back me up
I don’t give a fuck about none of your bullshit
You the only one Imma be good with
You the only one I keep to myself Babe
You’re the only one I can be good with
Never selfish with me
You the only one who bite your paper
You the only one who don’t need saving
If you ever do it
I’ll give you all my loving
If you let me do it
Baby just let me prove it cause
That ass is a good reason
Say that I love you, girl, I mean it
That I love you, girl, I mean it
Girl, I mean it
Mmh, I love you so
Mmh, never gonna let you go
Mmh, baby just back me up
You what I do this for”
He looks down and sees her asleep and stops singing. Tonight would be their night; they would walk out of the Garden as Tag Team Champs. He wrapped his arms around her and drifted off to a peaceful slumber himself.
