Post by Sahara on May 7, 2020 10:25:17 GMT -5
I am Sahara - Former World/IC/Tag Champion, and YES, I’ve signed with OPW, so go ahead and ask me anything!
I realize this is somewhat short notice, but I'm here for like 30 mins, so ask away!
[-] ARPsucks 223 points 2 minutes ago
Welcome back, Sahara!
[-] Sahara 997 points 1 minute ago*
Thanks. It’s good to be back. Okay, looks like I’m almost outta time, and I still gotta head down to the
OPW offices to set up some temp housing and finalize some stuff! I wanted to keep this relatively short
just to kinda get my name out there and say a few words, but know this, I'm BACK BABY! Can't wait to hit
the ground runnin' here! Nice name, BTW.
Thanks for showing up on short notice and asking me a few questions, homies! xoxo

I know you kind of answered this below pretty sarcastically, but any serious thoughts on Pequeno Dinosaurio?
[-] Sahara -32 points 5 minutes ago
No.
[-] Draven1 43 points 4 minutes ago
LOLLLLLLL
[-] Sahara 332 points 5 minutes ago
To be serious, his match on Showcase is on in the background as I’m typing this up and
he’s a fast little fucker. It’ll be interesting to see how much rust I got on me against
someone with that kinda speed. I have a lot of respect for Lucha style. He looks amazing.
He looks stupendous! Oh, look at that, he actually won! He’s a … what’d that announcer
just say?! He’s a banana sammich up in that bitch or something? Blah blah blah. Whatever.
Okay, have I sucked your Dino-fanboy dick enough in regards to the Flaming Dinosaur? What
do you expect me to say here? You lookin’ for me to type up a promo on Reddit?! The Dino
Kid is a stepping stone. Nothing more. He’s an obstacle in my way, and I’m gonna give him
a reality check about me and what I'm all about. Hope this helps.

What was the scariest moment of your wrestling career?
[-] Sahara 870 points 8 minutes ago
The day the EWA closed its doors. People say I don’t have a heart, but it sure as hell hurt that day.
I can’t describe the feeling of emptiness I was left with. Hopefully OPW can fill it again.
[-] DesertStorm -25 points 9 minutes ago
I just jacked off to your slutty bio pic, thanks
[-] Sahara 221 points 8 minutes ago
Glad I could be of help.
[-] DamonDiggs 98 points 11 minutes ago
There was a rumor that after wrestling, you had auditioned for some Netflix shows, how’d that go?
[-] Sahara 55 points 10 minutes ago
Not well. I got a minor guest spot on a couple episodes of Lucifer, but that was enough for me.
My heart is with wrestling, always has been. Acting was fun, but there’s nothing like being out
there in front of a live crowd, not knowing how they’re gonna react to anything. There are also
no do-overs for us, where in movies or television they shoot the same scenes 30 or 40 times, which
gets super annoying for someone like me that’s been trained to do something ONCE. It’s one of the
most unique things about what we do out there, which is reacting to the reaction. Sometimes ya build
up exactly how you think they’re gonna react to some amazing line you’ve been saving, and it gets no
reaction, so you gotta be quick to pivot and find out what works with that specific audience. That’s
what separates the ones that can step up and keep up versus the many that step up only to fall apart.

What are your thoughts on the overall production values of the OPW? I assume you’ve watched a show.
[-] Sahara 892 points 12 minutes ago
I always do some homework before deciding to join an organization, but there’s nothing like being on
the inside to see how things *really* work. That’s why I joined and quit the AW so fast. I think it was
AW. That’s how memorable they were. Anyway, they had some talent, but they thought they were major league,
when they could barely produce a halfcocked indy show. One of the worst traits of an organization is when
it’s leadership thinks it’s the very best at something, which means they’ll never improve because they don’t
know what the best actually looks like.
As for OPW, I think they’re doing very well with what they have, and trust me, I’ve seen FAR worse. If I
thought they were THAT bad at production, which is what makes us wrestlers look good, I wouldn’t have come
here. Do I think they can get better? Yeah, I do. But that comes with time. I think at times they’re a bit
frenetic and spastic, but that also brings a certain raw energy to the show, so I can’t yet say whether I
like it or not just yet. I know this, they care about their product. That's why they signed me.
[-] ApocalypseFan69 -9 points 17 minutes ago
You’re like the most overrated signing the OPW has ever made
[-] Sahara 1k points 16 minutes ago
K, let me know when you have an AMA, snowflake.
[-] ApocalypseFan69 56 points 22 minutes ago*
What are your feelings about Apocalypse?
[-] Sahara 225 points 21 minutes ago
I don’t know much about them. I think Lilith Pain is in that group? Probably butchered the spelling of her
name, but whatever. Is it Pain or Payne? I guess she’s hot at least!
[-] PequenoDonoFan111 223 points 26 minutes ago
You’ve just signed with the OPW and you’ve already been booked in a match against the Little Dinosaur, any thoughts
on Pequeno or your first match out of the gate?!
[-] Sahara 788 points 25 minutes ago
Are we here for honesty or am I still supposed to act grateful for the opportunity?! What’s this guy's name?
Flaming Dinosaur? Okay, Flaming Dinosaur. Fuckface. First, take a step back … and literally FUCK YOUR OWN FACE!
Now, I don’t know what kinda Pan-American bullshit powerplay you’re trying to pull here, but America, jack … is
MY territory. So whatever yer thinking, think again. Otherwise, I’m gonna head down to that ring and I will
rain and ungodly fucking firestorm upon you. You’re gonna have to call the United fucking Nations and get a
binding resolution to keep me from destroying you. I am talking scorched earth, motherfucker. I WILL MASSACRE
YOU! I WILL FUCK … YOU … UP!
Sorry, I typed that out from memory, so apologies if I messed it up. I look forward to facing the Flaming
Dinosaur, and I look forward to winning. Forgive my channeling the Xenu Tom Cruziness there...
[-] XavierWolves 77 points 26 minutes ago
Ahhh, the not often seen but much feared Les Grossman Sahara Desert Storm burn.
[-] BlairBuchannanBlowsMe -90 points 24 minutes ago
Do you think you’ll be able to recapture the magic you once had as a character in OPW?
[-] Sahara 834 points 23 minutes ago
It’s hard to take questions like this seriously when some basement dwelling stan that’s obviously in love with
Blair Buchannan has a Reddit name that took exactly no creativity to come up with. Next.
[-] ArkofJohn 23 points 28 minutes ago
S, do you think you’ll find success in the faction heavy OPW? Are you nervous? Anxious? Not a big fan but what you did
in the EWA amazed me at the time.
[-] Sahara 800 points 27 minutes ago
Yea, I’m nervous, and yea, I’m anxious. Since I left wrestling in 2018, the business has changed in a big way.
I did high flying moves because it was necessary. I’m a buck-eighty, and some of the dudes I fought were
monsters. I didn’t have a choice but to wrestle that style. Today, they do high flying moves because if you
don’t, some dirt shit idiot that’s never stepped in a ring won’t give you five fake stars.
[-] IvyMadison 20 points 26 minutes ago
Ur hot.
[-] Sahara 121 points 26 minutes ago*
So are you. Luv ur movies.
[-] DrkDiggler 80 points 30 minutes ago
Sahara, this is one of those signings I’ve been hoping to see! How did it come to pass, and how will you cope with
no longer being “the” feature star of a promotion after your run in EWA (for those of us that were around to witness it?)
[-] Sahara 1.1k points 29 minutes ago
While I thank you, let’s be honest about it … it's not that big of a deal. An old frienemy got in touch and told
me to check out what they were doin’ down in OPW, and it got my attention. I literally thought I was done
with this, but everytime I’m out … they pull me back in. (Yes, I hope you read that in the Pacino voice.)
Anyway, my thoughts on no longer being “the star?” Everyone that signs with a new fed, be it to a professional
or developmental contract, tends to think the fed they came from was the be-all end-all, when in reality, most
people never heard of it/them, and they don’t care about their 5 million title reigns. I fought to become a
big name in a small world once before, and I’m confident I can do it again. As a matter of fact, the only
reason I even put that I was a former champion at the top of this post was because it meant the world to me.
And no, I haven’t held 500 titles in 500 different organizations. My resume is legit. I was a multi-champion
in one single promotion in my entire life, and I’m proud of it.
[-] MaveDeltzer -28 points 29 minutes ago
You were champion because you’re a great entertainer, but not a wrestler. No place in this era.
[-] Sahara 800 points 29 minutes ago
Negative 5 star comment in the Tokyo Dome. Idiot.
[-] KiteAsAHigh 70 points 28 minutes ago
This is already the best ama of all time.
