Spell 67 - Book of the Dead
Isle of the Gods
off the coast of Athens Greece
The scene opens on the beautiful city of Athens Greece. The streets were not as crowded as they usually were for this time of the year, but the ancient sites seemed to be quiet and at peace from the human traffic that had once wandered the grounds. The smell from the local restaurants still drifted on the air, mixing with the scent of the open water that could be seen as far as the eye could see. The camera moves over the city and soon we see an island that seems to be out of place. The island seems to loom out of the water with the high cliffs that are seen. The water was a crystal clear blue where you could see to the bottom where a few fish moved along the bottom and crabs scurried in a rush away from the small fishing boats that could be seen floating along. The island itself was covered in tall trees, and lush green plants that could be seen all over. Paths wound around the island leading to massive temples that could be seen looming over the island. The camera moves to one that seemed to be the largest of them all. The dirt pathway was lined with statues of Anubis made out of basalt. At the entrance was two giant statues of a Goddess with bull like horns, encircling her head, and wings on her back. Inside were tall pillars decorated with hieroglyphics done in deep colors. On the walls the vast pictures told the story of the Goddess that dwelt inside. The sound of voices can be heard coming from somewhere deeper within the sandstone walls. The smell of jasmine, roses, sandal wood, and vanilla drifted on the air mixing with the scent of the flowers that were littered around the island. We soon see a massive room filled with people dressed in white togas. They are chanting in a strange language as a young woman with blond hair, and a heavy book in her hands stands in front of a massive altar. To the right hand side of the altar there stood door that seemed to lead into nothing but a stone wall but had detailed carvings around it. The carvings start to glow, as the stone starts to move revealing a strange green glow from behind it. A figure steps out into the light and we see that it is Necra Octavian Kane. She was dressed in long black robes with a headdress with black and blue feathers. A rope of jewels could be seen shimmering in the dim light of the temple. Her eyes glow blue before they shift back to their normal golden color.
Young Woman: Welcome back to the land of the living my Goddess. We have been waiting for your arrival, and blessings that you will bring upon us!
Necra turns to the followers that are on their knees.
Necra: My children I have come back to you from beyond the veil. And I shall not leave you until the first cold winds of winter. There are some among us that have not yet walked from the darkness and into the light of the Goddess. Today is that day my children. They will see the light! In just a few moments we will head to the Labyrinth where you will seek the light and my glory once again.
The young woman nods as the followers stand and move forward to stand before Necra.
Young Woman: This will be your final test, and when you come into the light you will be in the Goddess's service in this life and in the next. Now come it is time for us to begin.
Necra walks through the followers and out into the late afternoon sun. She closes her eyes for a moment feeling the warm heat of the face of Re against her tanned skin. The young blond haired woman steps out behind her and smiles softly.
Young Woman: Are you alright my Goddess?
Necra opens her eyes and turns seeing her standing behind her.
Necra: I'm fine... Just starved! Can we get this done so I can eat?
Young Woman: You know the ritual has to be...
Necra: Sara, I'm starving! It's been three days! THREE DAYS SARA!
Sara: I'm sorry my Goddess. After they enter the labyrinth then you can go back to the house and eat.
Necra: Thank you! Lets get this over with!
Necra walks off along the path that wound through the lush forest, with the followers soon following behind. She could hear their voices chattering with excitement as they drew closer to the spot where their Goddess now waited. They all stand before her as they look into the darkness of the cave that now stood before them. The sound of dripping water could be heard from somewhere deep within the cave, as the smell of mildew and still water seemed to mix with the sweet flowers that littered the island.
Necra: When you enter the darkness you will have 8 hours to seek the light. When you come back into the light you will be part of the family and I will be waiting for you with open arms my children. Now go and seek the light and my glory!
The followers start to head into the darkness of the cave as Necra starts to remove the heavy headdress off of her head. Necra runs a hand through her hair, and sighs.

Necra: Alright, lets go!
Sara: How many do you think will make it through?
Necra: I say about half. Now lets go! I am starting to fade! Besides if we lose a few it's not like we can't find more!
Sara: How many do you think will make it through?
Necra: I say about half. Now lets go! I am starting to fade! Besides if we lose a few it's not like we can't find more!
Sara: True.
Necra puts a hand to her forehead as Sara rolls her eyes and shakes her head.
Sara: Go on, I'll stay here and make sure that no one gets turned around.
Necra: Sounds good to me.
With that Necra walks off, shedding the heavy robes, revealing a pair of short black shorts that seemed to cling in all of the right places, and a black shirt with the words "I AM EGYPT" on the front and on the back was a strange Egyptian symbol done in a heavy golden color. The cool ground felt good on her bare feet as she walked along the long pathway and the shade of the trees over head kept the harsh sun off of her already tanned skin.
Necra: In just a few days I will be facing off against the fools of Apocalypse once again. But this time it will be three of us. The last time that Calypso and Stalker faced us look what at what happened. We beat them! And I mean BEAT them! Do you really think that you're going to take us down? Please... You have never achieved anything in any company that you have ever been in. Oh wait... Anna you managed to take a title away from someone you messed with not knowing what you had coming... And then you lost everything, and I do mean everything. Are you really looking to win this match and prove us wrong? You have one hell of a challenge ahead of you then, and you better be ready for us. But we all know that you won't be, that you NEVER will be.
Necra smiles as she continues to walk along the pathway. The sound of the bushes rustling beside her draws her attention butt she doesn't flinch as she sees a black panther walk out in front of her. The cat moves toward her on silent paws as it seems to purr gently. She pets the creature on the head and smiles all the while.
Necra: There you are... I was wondering where you got to.
The panther gently headbutts her as they walk along. They soon reach what appears to be a massive home that sat on a hill over looking the island that was done in a mix of Greek and Egyptian style of housing meant for the richer parts of society. Necra walks up the white stone steps and heads toward the main part of the house. She passes by a few followers who all fall to their knees as she passes by them. She smirks as she reaches the beautiful balcony that wrapped around the whole house. She walks into the living room passing by a large black leather couch, and a massive TV that was secured into the wall.
Necra: As for the other two... Stalker and Calypso, once again you have proven that you are utterly useless! So we know how this match is going to go and we all know that you will never win. This is our time to shine and we will utterly destroy you no matter what we have to do. I am the Goddess of the Dead, The Queen of Death, The Reaper of Souls, The Angel of Death, The Crawling Chaos, The Creeping Death, The Lady in Black, and the Child of Heaven and Hell! Fear me; for when you look upon me you will see your end. See you soon and good luck, you're going to need it.
She turns and walks off with the panther following behind her as the scene fades to black.
