(I'm not the sort of person who feels the need to do this shit for money. Being a mercenary for hire isn't and has never been my style. Giving Jayson and by extension Ophelia a little receipt for their actions.
For their own part in enabling the continuation of the poison within the realm was enough. All it was, was a vehicle for me to remind Jayson that I hadn't forgotten about his little car crashing into my house antic.
That as much as he thought he had gotten away unpunished aside from the gift I sent him, he hadn't. Rather, I was waiting for the moment to be ripe. For the time to call for the next stanza to be enacted. That came at showcase. That's all it was to me - I had no need for the money, *however* it did become useful as a donation to the 'Save the Children' COVID-19 charity.
Which is *exactly* where the money went. So, thank Ryan Elias for that donation. Just like the charity auction we hosted yesterday, I have stated multiple times that my commitment is ensuring we mitigate the economic and mental impact as much as we can in this time of crisis, as well as the physical impact.
For those are the factors that matter most in these trying times. Especially when there are people who *aren't* in the fortunate position that I am. People, who don't have the disposable income that I do. To them - *every* cent counts. A position My family and I have been in before.
So, I empathise with them. I know the turmoil this lockdown has had on them. It's something I wanna alleviate to the best of my abilities. I want them to know that they *are* being supported, no matter what.
Sitting here, inside of the living room that has been my main 'chill-out hub' when I haven't been inside of the ring. I'm a very simple person outside of the realm of wrestling, always have been.
I'm not the sort of person you'll see at a nightclub or a party. Those aren't my style. Even more so since Lucina was born.
I find myself too preoccupied with her and duties around the house to even consider going out. Even for a small break.)
?: Scott, could you come here?
(Hearing Bianca's voice coming from the hall; taking me outta this current train of thought, I push myself up slowly before pivoting my body to the right and making my way into the hall, where I see her standing. Cell phone in her left hand and a cheeky smile across her face.)
"What's up, hun?"
(She continues to look at me. Almost as if she wants me to try and guess the answer, based strictly off the cues she is giving me.)
"So, we're playing this game, are we?"
(She nods, laughing.)
"Well, judging by that look - either Larni or Sarsha called?"
(Bianca slightly shakes her head, as I shoot her a look of surprise. I had figured it may have been 1 of those 2, but apparently not. I hum, trying to think about who else could extract such a reaction from Bianca.)
"Ohhh, did Annie call?"
(Bianca nods excitedly, as I smile. It's been about 3 months since we heard about her - which was when she was moving up to Tamworth in New South Wales in order to work with Channel 9.)
"What she say?"
Bianca: She just checked in with us. Wanted to know how we were doing and that she was willing to donate to the fund you set up for the charity drive.
(I smile in delight. We have already raised $280,000 for the drive so far, but the more the merrier when it comes to donations. Especially as it's going towards those who need it most.)
"That's awesome. How's Tamworth been treating her?"
(Bianca smiles, as she walks towards me.)
Bianca: She said it's been an adjustment, but she's been enjoying it so far. Especially seeing as she gets to anchor the 4 pm news.
(I had forgotten Annie finished her journalism degree last year. I had even attended the celebration we held for her, but it had slipped my mind.)
"That's great. Glad she found somewhere, as she deserves it."
Bianca: Yeah.
(I slightly smile, as I look at Bianca.)
"Is that all you needed me for, babe?"
(She shakes her head and smiles as she turns her body around. I slightly laugh as I smile, immersed by her beauty.)
Bianca: No, there is *something* else I wanted to tell you. Come with me, hun.
(I nod, following her as she heads towards our private office, a smirk across her face. Taking a deep breath, I walk through the doot, as Bianca motions to me to close it behind me as she sits down atop the leather office chair and I sit down on the other office chair we have, six feet away from her.)
"What you wanna talk about?"
(Bianca lovingly shoots me a smile.)
Bianca: I was gonna keep it a surprise until Sunday, but seeing as I know you're not the biggest fans of surprises, I figured I'd tell you now - but I've planned a *very* special party for your 32nd birthday. Well, Chili, Amelia and I have.
(I smile. It's true, I've never been the biggest fan of surprises. I'd rather know in advance so that I can anticipate it. Much like how I gameplan for matches in the ring.)
"Ah, Awesome. Is that what you 3 have been doing in here?"
(Bianca simply responds by laughing, though she leans across and plants a gentle, tender kiss on my lips. I return it, smiling.)
"I'll take that as a yes."
(She gently blushes as she cutely smiles. Her innocent smile that she flashes to me whenever she wants to admit I'm right but doesn't wanna verbally say so. Which causes me to softly laugh in response.)
Bianca: Larni also called last night, to say that she and Jane have sent you a present and wish they could be here for it, but you know, coronavirus has other plans.
(I nod. I wish they could have come over as well. They have attended my 'birthday party' (using that term loosely) every year since year 9, so it'll feel different without them.
Sadly though, the circumstance is beyond our control. Not much we can do about it, especially with the worldwide travel restrictions brought about by the coronavirus.)
"Awesome. I'll call them and thank them later."
(Bianca smiles.)
Bianca: Yeah. I forgot to mention in the hall, but Annie also said she was gonna send something over as a birthday present as well.
"Ah, nice."
(A thought then flickers in Bianca's mind, as she remembers something.)
Bianca: Oh, right
"Hm?"
(She blushes, slightly embarrassed that she had even hinted at it. As this is something she *did* wanna keep a surprise.)
Bianca: It's nothing.
(I raise my eyebrow curiously but elect to accept her explanation. At least for now, that is.)
"Ok. If you say so."
(She nods, smiling as I stand up, glancing across at her.)
"I'm gonna go check on Lucina, then head into the studio, ok?"
Bianca: Alright. I'll get started on dinner and see how Chilli and Millie are.
"Alright."
(I slowly walk out, knowing that now, my focus mustn't be on my birthday. That'll come on Sunday, but rather - on the battle royal, I am in for the belt that *I* brought about. The belt that I set the wheels into motion for.
That of course, being the PureBlood championship. A belt, that if I had just kept my focus.
If I had just killed Ophelia when I had the chance, would still be in my possession. It would *never* have had the poison touch it. Become within its veins. Sighing, I turn down the hall, walking towards Lucina's room.)
---
(I should have seen this coming. I should have known that Ophelia would crumble. That she wouldn't be able to uphold the weight of the shrine. The flame that had consumed her, the moment she claimed the belt. The crown as her own.
That it would be what caused her to fall - which is *precisely* how it played out. Exactly what came to be.
It is *my* fault that it even got to that point. Zion was right, as much as I hate to admit it. I didn't have it within me to pull the trigger. To drive the dagger into her heart; I paid the price.)
"I apologise---."
(Sombrely sitting within the confines of my studio, atop the leather one seat sofa, I let a soft breath leave my mouth. As much as I had known the sunset was coming. That at one point, the reign would come to an end, Injustice for all was *not* the calling. It was not the moment where the sunset was bound to happen.)
"It should never have come to this. Ophelia was not the one who was called upon in order to contain the flame. She was not the one that was supposed to be its vassal."
(I sigh again, this time more regretfully than before.)
"It was never bound to her. It was never her desire."
(I let out a gentle breath, as I solemnly smile to myself.)
"It is for that reason, that she wilted. Just as I foretold that she would. Just as the shrine enacted its promise."
(I pause, feeling the warm crackle of the fireplace behind me.)
"As it terminated her poison."
(I slightly bow my head, as I feel my body relaxing and the fire continues to cackle behind me. Almost as if I am praying.)
"It was all my fault. I do not blame Jayson for rescuing her. For being her knight in shining armour. Helping her to attempt to bring back the poison. The essence of what had been razed. Yet it is not what the design wished to claim. It is not, what was meant to be."
(I lift my head, a sinister smirk across my face.)
"And now, that design shall play out once more, as Ophelia could not contain the grasp on the flame. She could not resist the ashes that claimed her very being."
(My voice radiating throughout the room, I let a peal of laughter escape from my lips. This is all beginning to once again, fall into place. It is once again, coming to pass.)
"As such, there have been new souls thrown into the fire. Souls, who wander. Hoping that they are the ones who are called upon. The one, who shall enter the temple,'s gate."
(I pause, lowering my voice into a whisper.)
"Yet they cannot comprehend what it entails. The pillars of fire, that greet them as they reach the gates."
(I laugh sadistically, my face moulding itself into a cold; almost venomous stare.)
"As much as they believe they are the knights. As much as they believe they are the destined controller, they are mere pawns.
They are merely pieces, locked within a design they cannot even pretend to rationalise."
(Pausing, I half-smirk.)
"Yet I already have. For I was the one to set the wheels into motion. I was the one, who put it all into play."
(They know it's true. They can deny it all they want, but the evidence is there. Plain and in living colour for the world to see. For them to lay witness to.)
"Just as I was the catalyst for Jayson's downfall. For his ashes to burn before him; his desire to escape his prison.
For the Parody's realisation that you cannot play the game of psychological warfare with a mere knife, I am the one who has put it all into play."
(Glancing over at the 'PureKore' belt I have atop the fireplace. The belt having been given back to me when the PureBlood title was brought about, I see a static shadow begin to manifest before my eyes. An ominous warning - even if it is unknown who it is intended to target. Or even represent.)
"Even if they might wish to lurk within the shadows. Even if they might wish to come for me. Just like the supposed 'secretly assigned demon' who may wish to come after me, I invite them to. Just as I invite anyone else who wishes to unlock the gates to the shrine."
(I lower my voice once more.)
"They shall all fall down, the sands of time entrapping them. Suffocating them as I enact the shrine's desire once more. As I enact phase two of the terminus of X-Kore."
(I stand up, beginning to walk off.)
"Just as it must be. See you all Tuesday."
