Now let me state it for the record
I'm jaded but when you looked at me
I couldn't escape it
I really hate it when I'm out of control

[The scene fades in as Allison Riggs-Preston storms into the 3 story garage in the Wolf Family Compound in Parts Unknown, she stopped momentarily to pick up the keys that belonged to her father's 1966 black Mustang, that was built by Ken Block’s racing team. It was one of his favorites, and with the V8 engine in it that was just under 1,000hp; it would be the one he would want here at the compound when the guys decided to play with their cars and race along the air strip and the back roads through the property. Dane had asked her if she wanted him to come with her, but she declined his company; she just needed to drive and be alone. She reminded him that Kal made her promise that she wouldn’t drive anything off into this lake on her way out the door.]
Fucker… [But she wasn’t referring to her husband.]
[Allison snatched open the door and got in the car. Her teeth clenched a little bit as she strapped herself in with the seat belt. She slid the key in and turned it over; as usual, it purred. Allison’s lip twisted into a little smile on the right side. She drove down one level to the ground floor, and as soon as the front bumper hit the sensor for the door, it began to raise. She drove slowly through the compound but once she reached the gates and made it onto the “main” road, she smiled and then pressed her foot all the way to the floor; and the gates to Wolf Compound was nothing but a faded memory in the rear view mirror.]
[Allison focused solely on the winding and curved roadway as she mastered the turns with precision at speeds sometimes double what the signs suggested. Dane had told her that the town was about 30 mins away, she was going to set the Wolfpack record to beat. She kept the speed stead only letting up to bank on the curves. She didn’t even see the cop car that had been sitting in the woods on a side road as she flew by; the cop in the cop car did see her; but ever so briefly; by the time he got his car started and was out on the road; he couldn’t even see her in the distance.]
What the fuck was that?
[The officer knowing the area better than Allison did, took another route, turning on the next road. He flipped on his lights and put his foot to the floor. He had know idea who or what was driving that car but as the Deputy Sheriff on Malvado Falls, it was his job to find out and stop it before it reached his town. About ten minutes later, he was pulling right in behind Allison just outside of the city limits. The black mustang slowed down, he noted the tag number, a California tag and called it in. He didn’t see the blonde inside as she screamed the word “FUCK!” as loud as she could.]
Hey, Mable, this is Wortmann.
Hey, Deputy, how’s the night?
I need you to run a tag for me. Out of state, California. BLT4KNGS. [He listened as she repeated everything that he said.] Yes, that’s it. Get back to me ASAP.
Will do, sugar.
[Deputy Wortmann got out of his car and put on his hat; and adjusted his belt before he started to the car. He kept his eyes on the window that was already rolled down with one hand on his gun. As he got closer, he relaxed a little bit; female, and a pretty one at that.]
Ma’am, do you know why I pulled you over?
I am assuming because I was driving like a bat out of Hell?
[He stopped the laugh that threatened to come out.] Yes, Ma’am. My radar gun couldn’t even register the speed.
Seems like you need a new radar gun, officer.
Or maybe you could drive the speed limit?
I’ll workshop that, officer.
Or you could give me your license and registration. [Allison sighed a bit and reached over to the glove box.] Slowly… Ma’am.
[Allison smiled and choked down the words that she wanted to say, and slowly reached over to the glove box and pulled out the registration; before she handed it to him, she pulled her driver’s license out of a small wallet. He looked at the picture and then to her and made sure that it was her.]
Thank you, Doll. Now you sit right here like a good girl and I will be right back. [He turned to walk away.]
I got your fucking good girl and ‘Doll’. [The words just slipped out so naturally. He stopped in his tracks and turned back around.]
Ma’am, I don’t want any trouble tonight.
Neither do I, Officer, we already know I was speeding and your radar sucks, how about you just write me that big ol’ ticket? You can get back to patrolling the roads and I can get back to being speeding.
Ma’am, will you step out of the car?
If I say no, I’m probably going to get in trouble, huh?
Yes, Ma’am.
Well, I won’t say it. [She got out of the car and as she stood up, Officer Wortmann found himself suddenly looking up at her; he only stood 5 feet tall and she towered over him a good seven inches; and had an athletic build that the women around here did not have. He suddenly felt small and inadequate, and that angered him. Allison raised up her hands a little.] You wanna frisk me?
No, Ma’am. I just want you to be quiet.
Oh shit, you got the wrong woman for that. [She chuckled as she leaned crossed her arms and leaned up against the car. Wortmann heard his name being called from the police car. Allison waved her hand at him; dismissing him almost.] Go on, I’m not going anywhere.
[He backed up to his car; keeping an eye on her, and then opened the door and got in.] What ya got for me, Mable?
The car belongs to a Damon Riggs out of California. [He looked at the registration. The name matched, he then looked at the license.]
What do you know about an Allison Riggs-Preston? [He asked.]
Give me a minu.. Wait, hang on, Trent wants to talk to you. [Her voice was replaced with a man’s voice.]
Let whoever is in that car go. [The mayor of the Falls voice told him.]
But Trent, she was doing over 100 down route 43.
Yes, I understand. [The mayor said.] But remember when I said that the property over near Lake Road finally sold. And the new owners made that very large donation to the town?
Yes.
Well, Riggs as well as Preston are among two of the names attached to that donation. [The mayor didn’t sugarcoat any of it.] So smile politely and let Mrs. Riggs-Preston go and we will see about getting the tags of all the cars they may have, so we don’t pull them over again.
But…
JUST DO AS I SAY!!!
[The mayor said this loud enough that Allison could hear it from where she stood. It caused her head and smile and this angered Officer Wortmann too. He got out of the car and walked back over to Allison. He had a fake smile on his face; but that was okay, because Allison also wore one.]
Thank you, Officer. [She said, her voice dripping with amusement of the situation.] I am assuming that I am free to go?
Yes, Ma’am. [He handed her things back over to her.] You are free to go. Although I do hope you will think about that speed limit. We have farmers who drive tractors and things like that and I would hate for there to be a wreck or something. Sometimes cows get out, I would hate for something to happen to your car.
So would my dad.
[She winked and got back into the car and started it up. She kept the speed limit having seen the sign for the city limits while she had been standing there. She drove the mustang into the small town. Immediately anyone who was outside to see it, turned and stared at the unfamiliar car and it’s unknown occupant.]
Holy Cabin Fever.. [Been a while since she had been in a small town like this, where everyone knew each oher and their business. She didn’t stop and continued to drive until she found what was probably considered a convenience store in this part of the US and pulled in. SHe got out of the car and looked around and smiled and waved at the few people who were looking at her and then she went into the store, mumbling to herself.] Get used to us, we’re your new neighbors.
[Once inside the young guy at the counter looked up from the game he was playing on his cell phone. He nodded to her and went back to playing the game. She walked around the store and looked at the different items, and shook her head at things like pickled pigs feet and pickled eggs. She got her fountain drink and walked up to the counter. The guy behind the counter looked at her for a moment and then he realized.]
Holy shit, do you know who you are?
Yes, I do. [She nodded her head a little bit.]
Oh my God. They are never going to believe it. [He exclaimed.] Allison Riggs-Preston… The ARP.. is standing in my Dad’s store. Oh my god, you gotta let me get my picture with you.
Sure. [She smiled. She enjoyed making the fans happy.]
[He raced around the counter with his cell phone and him and Allison posed for a picture.] We had heard that you all had moved in, but we didn’t really believe it. I guess this would be proof?
[Allison nodded.] Yeah, we're your new neighbors.
Man, I can’t believe all that shit I heard Xavier talking about earlier today.
Yeah, that’s about all that comes out of his mouth now. Shit. [She chuckled a little bit.] He got the whole we were always in the shadow of those that come before us. Slight difference between us though… I actually blazed out of that shadow. X is still struggling in his, sad thing is, that he doesn’t even realize it. And he thinks that turning against his own family is going to change that. It’s not. And right here, right now… him and his wife, and Johnny Stylez can drown in it.
He doesn’t even see you as a problem.
Of course he doesn’t, but I am going to be a very big problem. And he knows it, too. He’s just not aware that his “kitten”... [She used his pet name for her.] ...now has some serious claws. I am far from the little girl that he knew me as. And I don’t see what my dad or my husband have to do with this match, since neither of them are in it. Although, I can’t really say the same for his new found friends. How much for this?
On the house, man, on the house. The picture alone is worth it.
Sweet, thanks. I am sure I will see you around.
[They said their goodbyes and Allison made her way out to the car and got back inside. She sat there for a moment.]
What the fuck happened to us, X? There was a time when I know that the two of us couldn’t live without each other. And now… never, never would I have thought we would have turned into… this. Even after we went our separate ways, it was never like… this. What happened to you? What happened to the man that I once knew? The man who would have killed for his family, who would have died for his family? I don’t even know you anymore… I am not sure that you even know yourself.
[There was a sadness in her blue eyes, that spoke of deep pain.]
But that’s neither here nor there right now. I am sure you didn’t expect Johnny to place us in a match together; but then again, why wouldn’t he. You had to know that we would be facing each other, so despite the words that are coming out of your mouth, you wanted this to happen. Turning against your family… you wanted this to happen. And why? To prove that you are better than the rest, to prove that you’re not like them? Not like them how? How they stand with their family and is there for them when they are needed? How they don’t turn against one another to get a bigger stake in the game? [She nods her head slightly.] Well, you may think you’re not going to have a problem with me, well, I assure you, at Showcase… I am going to be your biggest fucking problem of all. Don’t worry about my dad or Dane, you need to worry about me.
[Beside Allison, Officer Wortmann pulled his cop car to a stop and then turned his gaze over to Allison, who was reaching for the sunglasses up in the visor. She turned and looked at him, and slowly smiled as she put them on. They hung a little low on her nose to where he could still see her eyes. She reached up with her left hand and placed her middle finger on the bridge of the glasses and pushed them up into place; a smile on her lips as she blatantly flipped him off.]
Evening, Officer Whoreman. [Allison nodded his way as she slowly backed the car out of the parking space.]
[Officer Wortmann sat there for a moment and questioned what he had heard. Did she call him what he thought he did? Nah, she wouldn’t have done that, he was an officer of the law. Or would she? He didn’t know but one thing was for sure; he didn’t think he was going to like this Ms Riggs-Preston chick or any of the people associated with her. He got out of the car and stared after the black mustang and nodded his head. As the scene faded to black, he vowed to keep a very close eye on them.]
